Hi all, Happy Fabulous Friday to you! I know it's been a long time between posts so time for a catch up!

Blood tests, weddings and Wonder Weeks

It's been a crazy few days for us, that have included blood tests, weddings and Wonder Weeks. It's been one of those patches of time where you feel truly tested in Motherhood!

Small things amuse small people

As Sticky gets older, I start to reap more benefits from all the hard work I've put in over the past year. Today, I'm very grateful for the fact I taught her to amuse herself.

Little Miss Chatterbox

So my little Miss Chatterbox has suddenly decided she's ready to start communicating with the world. Her language is now coming along so quickly, I've started keeping a list of all of her words and I'm translating for others!

Sick of being sick

I love my family but after a week of being stuck in quarantine with them, they're all grating on my nerves.

The 1 year checkup

Sticky had her 1 year checkup yesterday which included her needles and a basic health check. The needles were fine but the health check was not so good.

The plight of the working mother

Apologies for not posting for a while. As the title suggests, adjusting to life as a working mother has presented its challenges. Needless to say, I've come to the realization it's highly over rated!

Sticky turns 1

So my little munchkin officially turned 1 yesterday. She had a lovely day with cake and sparklers, and we did a party and naming ceremony for her on the weekend. I did the ceremony and of course I cried. Oh well, it was a pretty emotional achievement for us!

When I look at how she has changed in that year, and how much she's grown, I'm blown away by her achievements. I'm also blown away by my achievements. The first year of a child's life is the hardest and I survived! I'm raising an intelligent, funny, loving and happy little girl and I'm proud of myself for being the kind of mother I always wanted to be.

God knows I've had my moments, but I've always got through them. And I've done it with patience and love, knowing I'm focused on what's best for her. I've learnt so much in the process which has made me a better parent and person in the process.

My little girl is such a joy and spark in my life. I never realised how dull it was before her. Now, I look forward to watching her learn and grow and sharing many more birthdays with my cheeky monkey!

Farewell to my baby

We will have a baby for 6 more days. At that time, she'll turn 1 and leave babyhood behind. It's hard to believe we are here already but as I watch her change everyday, I'm excited to see what the next year will bring!

The honeymoon is over

So today marks my last day of maternity leave. I officially return to work tomorrow which will bring a whole new change to our lives but that's just what every working Mum faces I guess so there's no choice but to just get on with it!
